Chris:
Affirmative. Family members are most welcome...especially your Dad's! I brought my 12-year-old son back in 2001. We even had a wife of an MIA who came that year.

The museum is scheduled to open to the public on 11 NOV 06. Opening ceremonies are on 10 NOV 06 by invitation, if I'm not mistaken.

How's your mom doin?

Doc,

Thanks for the info. My mom is doing pretty good, thanks for asking. How would you go about getting an invitation to the opening of the USMC museum? I might come to the Reunion this year, in honor of my dad, the Corps, and my family. I'd love to do some more site seeing in D.C., since we didn't have much time to sight see.

Thanks again DOC,

Chris

Chris:
You might e-mail or call the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation office at Quantico (VA). They're the ones who are handling the construction, fund-raising, opening, and ceremonies for the new museum. They'll also be running it day-to-day when it opens. Hope this helps.
