Postby fairfield2002 » Fri Feb 04, 2005 10:59 am

Hello Fox Co.
I am the nephew of LCPL Dennis Fairfield, member of Fox Co 2/9 who was KIA May 19, 1967. I am looking to establish contact with anyone who knew him in Vietnam and can tell me about his experiences.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you Marines of 2/9 for your service to our country.

Dear Mr. Alford
Thank you for replying. I was beginning to think I wouldn't get a response. As for the information I'm seeking on my Uncle Denny, I suppose I was just interested in hearing about his experiences from the guys who served with him. I know all of my aunt's and uncles will be interested to hear more about Denny and what he went through. My father Raymond was Denny's brother and they were very close. Thank you for supplying your phone number. I will give you a call. By the way, I live in Houston. Funny how things work....

Sincerely,
Ryan Fairfield

I'm sorry to say that it's been nearly 4 years since I have posted regarding my Uncle Dennis Fairfield. I sincerely appreciate the contact from those who replied to my earlier posts. I am interested in finding out more about his tour of duty. I would specifically like to know more about the enemy action which led to his death on May 19, 1967. All my family knows is that it occured in the Quang Tri Province. Can anyone shed light on exactly where he was killed? Also if anyone happens to have photos of him from his time in the Marines, we would greatly appreciate obtaining a copy. We would like more information if it exists. Thank you Marines of Fox 2/9.

Is Fox Co having a reunion anytime soon?

Ryan

Hi does anyone have contact information for George Kerr? I recently tried the number he left on a previous post but it was out of service.
