The other night my wife was lighting a candle in our home and I had a momentary flashback to how important candles were in Viet Nam. They were an important source of light when we were in the rear and out of the field. I had kinda forgotten this over the years until recently. Does this jolt anyone else?

Can't say that lighted a candle stirs any memories in me, Walt.
On the other hand, long periods of drizzle and fog takes me right back.

The smell of the burning candles does. I still remember that smell when
you walked into someone's bunker. Some things never go away
